Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how ProfitPilot collects, uses, stores, and protects information when Shopify merchants install or use the ProfitPilot application.
1. Who operates ProfitPilot
ProfitPilot is operated from Türkiye. Questions about privacy or data protection can be sent to profitpilotsupport@gmail.com.
2. Information we process
ProfitPilot processes only the information reasonably required to provide store profitability analytics and related features. This can include:
- Shopify shop domain, installation details, approved access scopes, and authentication or session information.
- Order identifiers and dates, order totals, discounts, taxes, shipping amounts, refunds, sales channels, payment gateways, and country-level shipping information.
- Product, variant, SKU, quantity, inventory, and product-cost information used in profitability calculations.
- Expenses, categories, amounts, dates, and notes entered by a merchant in ProfitPilot.
- Technical logs and diagnostic information needed to secure, operate, and troubleshoot the service.
ProfitPilot does not intentionally use customer names, email addresses, telephone numbers, or street addresses for its core profitability calculations. If such information is included in a Shopify payload, we limit its use and retention to what is necessary to provide and secure the service.
3. How we use information
- Synchronize Shopify orders, refunds, and product costs.
- Calculate revenue, costs, margins, expenses, and profitability metrics.
- Display dashboards, product performance, and insights.
- Provide support and investigate errors or abuse.
- Maintain security and comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal bases
Depending on the applicable law, we process information to perform our agreement with the merchant, pursue legitimate interests in operating and securing ProfitPilot, comply with legal obligations, and, where required, based on consent.
5. Service providers and disclosure
We may use service providers for ecommerce platform access, hosting, databases, monitoring, and support. These providers may include Shopify and Railway and may process information only as needed to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and security, or as part of a lawful business transfer.
We do not sell merchant or customer personal information.
6. Data retention and deletion
We retain information while the app is installed and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, secure the platform, and meet legal obligations. Authentication sessions are removed after a verified uninstall event. Store data is deleted or anonymized following a verified Shopify erasure request, unless retention is legally required.
Merchants can request deletion by emailing profitpilotsupport@gmail.com. We also process Shopify's mandatory privacy and erasure webhooks.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections and restricted access. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. International processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the merchant's country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
9. Your rights
Depending on location, individuals may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection to certain processing. Requests can be submitted to profitpilotsupport@gmail.com. We may need to verify the requester before responding.
10. Children
ProfitPilot is a business application intended for Shopify merchants and is not directed to children.
